JomSocial 2.4 was released recently & it comes with a slew of new features to empower your Joomla Social network.We have been working closely with the JomSocial team to ensure that all of our products work well with this new release.

How does the update affect Techjoomla Products ?

We have completed the testing of our products & are happy to report that all major extensions work flawlessly with JomSocial 2.4.So the good news is that you can upgrade without any issues..  In fact this release adds a bug fix which removes the need to hack the core JomSocial files for Integration with our Broadcast extension. All our Major extensions - SocialAds , Invitex, J!Bolo, Broadcast, J!MailAlerts & all JomSocial related plugins , Email Beautifier , People you may know, Network Suggest , Mutual Friends are fully compatible with the 2.4 release. Just make sure you download the latest versions of each.

JS Features & J!PHPlist are the extensions that are still waiting for an update for Joomla 1.7 & JomSocial 2.4. Of these the update for Featured shall be out by this month end.

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of JBolo 2.9.4 with a great new feature that allows custommers of IMaqma Helpdesk to add live chat capabilities to their Support system with JBolo. JBolo integrates tightly with IMaqma & provides the following features :

• Ability for Support Users to Initiate a chat with Clients from a individual ticket or ticket list view
• If the Admin allows it , online users can also contact live Support users
• Support Users can archive chat logs as comments on existing tickets for future reference

Diwali, the festival of lights & one of the most important festivals in India is upon us. Please note that our offices shall be closed from 24th to 30th October as our staff leave to celebrate with their families. Support shall also be closed during this period . In order to make it easy for you take care of any issues you might have in this period & cause minimum inconvinience to you if any at all, we have setup some Self Help resources for you.

The use of these has been explained below.

1. Read up on the Documentation
All the Documentation has been updated to the latest versions. So make sure you configure the extensions accordingly.

2. Read the FAQs & How to Debug Documents where available
FAQs contain the most commonly asked questions, most common issues & their resolutions.
The "How to Debug" Documents where applicable detailed instructions on how to find the cause & solution to your problems. In some cases, this content might be part of the normal FAQs only. In case of API plugins for Invitex & Broascast, make sure you read the specific documentation about them if you have issues.

3. Make sure you are using the latest versions !
We have released bug fix versions for SocialAds, Broadcast , Invitex & J!MailAlerts to solve some small bugs that were reported since the last release. Make sure you are using the latest versions.

• Bug #8707 Warning shown after creating a new alert type when no plugins are installed.
• Bug #8500 J!MailAlerts User - Registration plugin not working in some cases throwing 500 error
• Bug #8118 Can not edit/change plugin name shown in frontend in joomla 1.7 or greater
