Updates to the JomSocial Plugin Pack for J!MailAlerts to fix some bugs reported by the community has been made available as JomSocial Plugin Pack for J!MailAlerts V1.1 . It is available to all subscribers with immediate effect & can be downloaded from the My Subscriptions menu.
In order to comply to a JED policy for naming extensions, all the plugins have been renamed. So to avoid issues,it is recommended that you uninstall all earlier J!MailAlerts plugins before you upgrade to this version. Read more for the full changelog. Do not directly upgrade for this version as names have been changed.
J!MailAlerts version 1.2 is out with a new feature & some bug fixes. The new Email Preview feature in the backend which allows the admin to preview how a mail would look if sent to a particular user , will make testing this extension much easier. The Email Simulate option is still there, but email preview being more instantaneous would be more useful.
Besides this feature some bugs reported in the forums have been squashed .
Bug fix releases for Latest News & Latest events (Eventlist) plugin for J!MailAlerts have also been released with minor bug fixes.
Both the extension & plugins are available for free download for registered users.
Also note that now J!MailAlerts shall be packaged in a UnZip First file containing the core component & the core user plugin for management ease. From this release onwards the extension as well as the plugins have been renamed to comply with a JED naming policy. So uninstall all earlier versions of the component & the all the plugins before installing the new versions.

We have added a JomSocial plugin which replace the default JomSocial invitations menu with one going to Invitex. For this make sure you install the new plug_js_inviteX.zip thats available in the unzip package & publish it.
The invite email becomes even more interesting now with the ability to show "People who have invited you" with their avatars just like Facebook or Orkut does. To have this go out in your invite emails, make sure you edit your email content & Add [PWIU] in the mail content. This is the tag that will be replaced.

We are happy to announce the availability of CB & JS Network Suggest Modules. The most awaited feature in this is the JBolo! Integration which now means that if you allow public Chat via JBolo on your site, you can now suggest people to chat with based on their profile information.
The CB version also shows a Fuzzy match percentage in a nice tooltip now ! The JomSocial version also has a more information tooltip but no fuzzy percentage for now..

This has been really a week full of releases ! We have just released maintenance releases for "People You May Know" for CB & JomSocial. These releases have some great fixes related to semantic HTML & CSS proposed by Chris from the Pro Themer/ Joomla Junkie team.
