Like to use Embed PDF in a Module as list of Category Items. Is that not possible?

It appears that the PDF Embed plugin only works with an article and displayed in a menu link. Can one not use it as a list of articles in a module? Or as a single article posted on a SP Pagebuilder page? I am just curious.
